Moscow parks

Moscow is one of the greatest Russia travel destinations. No one can imagine Moscow without wonderful parks. Life in this busy city would be unpleasant without green parks, where people can have walks, meet with friends or just spend free time.

Moscow has many parks, which are worth visiting. There are always a lot people walking or reading books in the parks. Tourists will have an opportunity to admire Russian nature even in the center of the city, as there are different kinds of trees in the parks.

Gorky Park is one of the most famous parks in Moscow. Many tourists may have heard about it even before coming to Moscow. Gorky Park was opened in 1928 and was originally called the Park of Culture. The ark occupies the territory of 300 acres.

The park has attractions both for children and parents. It a perfect place for entertainment and fun. In summer, the adjoining river is used as a starting point for various cruises around the city. And in winter the river is used as a skating rink, as it freezes over. In February, the park hosts the Annual Festival of Ice Sculpture, which is really magnificent. Sculptures of all shapes and sizes can be found there.

Victory Park is another popular place in Moscow. This massive memorial to World War II was built in 1995. It is very popular among newlyweds, who come here on their wedding day. The park is especially beautiful during special events devoted to the commemoration of the victory of Soviet people in the World War II.
